About Dr. Emily (Foxen-Craft) Scholand
Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Michigan. I specialize in helping children, teens, and young adults manage chronic pain, headache and migraine, and chronic illness. I also enjoy helping students and athletes improve coping with stress, anxiety, focus, and other things that get in the way of doing their best. By combining cutting edge evidence-based practices with a personalized approach, I help individuals and families learn tools to better manage their symptoms, develop resilience, and feel empowered to achieve their life goals. In addition to my two offices in Ann Arbor and Farmington Hills, Michigan, I am also authorized to provide telehealth services to individuals in 40 states through PSYPACT (to learn if your state is included, click here).
Prior to founding Pediatric Pain and Behavioral Health, I was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan, where I provided services with children, teens, and young adults struggling with chronic painful conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and more. I also coordinated with colleagues in Sports Medicine to investigate and address the pain and mental health challenges common to student-athletes. I continue to contribute to research of new innovations in pediatric pain treatment, and training psychology and medical residents in pediatric pain psychology and behavioral health.
